I’ve always thought it would be amazing and rewarding to create a place and space where people can get what they need to live a life they love.

I’m going to create a sand box, a playground, a magical and awe-inspiring place in nature where people can open their hearts and imaginations – and realize that anything is possible.

I see myself and my team leveraging our expertise and passion in helping people create a meaningful and sustainable difference in people’s lives by clarifying and living their dream now.

Below is my vision of the Still Center that I wrote over 20 years ago:

Things in my life are evolving and flowing now more than ever before.

It’s because I’m letting them. It’s because I now realize when I’m getting in my own way and I get out of my own way. This is simple but not always easy. However, this is about progress not perfection for me.

I’m really listening to myself now. I’m listening to my mind, my body and my soul. I’m working on constantly and lovingly connecting my mind, body and soul – and trusting myself.

I’m on an amazing spiritual journey – to find my truth, my purpose, my gift, my longing, my voice, my light – to create a still center in my being, to give from the core of my being, to live life “on purpose”, and to make a difference in the world.

Creativity is a beautiful way for me (as well as others) to connect to our still centers – to unfold our souls and to find our treasures (our life’s purpose, our soul purpose).  As Oriah Mountain Dreamer said,

“Creative work, because it cannot be separated from our spirituality, inevitably connects us to that which is larger than us, and experiencing the sacred center of life [the still center of our being] can create a shift in perspective, can bring new insights and understandings that demand something of us.”

I feel like I’m really starting to nurture the little boy in me, to be curious and open, to be gentle with me, to take care of me, to be a responsible man, to love me, and to give myself the space and freedom to just be – and to give others the space and freedom to just be.

By not trying to figure out exactly how things will unfold. By not creating the perfect plan in my mind. Because things will unfold exactly as they do, which will be perfect for me. Perfect in a real or figurative sense, not in an ideal or literal sense – and I know now it’s not about perfection. It is what it is. I’m learning that it’s not about changing what is, it’s about being with what is.

I’m creating openings and breakthroughs in my life. I’m continuing to walk through these doors (uncovering and overcoming my fears), without knowing what’s on the other side, without knowing how I will be affected, without knowing how my life will change. I know now that my treasure, my gift, my truth and my purpose is to help others create their still center to ultimately find their treasure, their gift, their truth and their purpose.

• To help others find their truth and speak their truth.
• To help others find their light and embrace their light, and create a lightness of being.
• To help others make a differ- ence in the world, starting with themselves.
• Peace starts here, with each of us, in our still center.

I’m going to help others see what there is for them to see, feel what there is for them to feel, and hear what there is for them to hear – in stillness from their still center. To help them realize their gift and to help them realize that they are a gift to the world. My purpose is to help others access their gift so they can share it with the world. Their gift. Their treasure. Their love.

My purpose is to help others celebrate their love and to share their love.  To bare their soul and to speak their truth. To break through their fears and be open to the gifts that each new beginning offers.

• To make a difference by taking care of themselves, by feeding their mind, body and soul – by connecting their mind, body and soul.
• To make a difference knowing that you can’t give away what you don’t have.
• To make a difference knowing that love and hate cannot co-exist – and to choose love as often as you can.
• To make a difference knowing that in every interaction you have, you’re either pushing someone away from you or you’re pulling them closer to you – and to choose connection as often as you can.
• To make a difference knowing that with every action you take, you’re either moving away from your purpose or you’re moving towards your purpose – and to choose “on purpose” as often as you can.
• Be love. Give love. Create love. Generate love. Receive love. Embrace love. Live love. Love with all of you and love from your truth. Love from your still center.

I see all of this beauty happening – evolving, flowing and growing – at an amazing place and space in nature, on the water and in the woods in Muskoka, Ontario. I see me being part of a team committed to helping others find and speak their truth. I see me and the team being still and embracing our still centers. I see others being still and embracing their still centers.

I see all of this happening at a place called the Still Center.
